Depth Psychotherapy

Jungian-Oriented Therapy

As a depth psychotherapist, I offer a Jungian perspective exploring dreams, complexes, and archetypes to help my patients with the process of self-discovering and integration. The personal and collective unconscious are explored during the therapeutic exchanges that happen in my practice. In addition, shadow work is stimulated to facilitate the process of self-knowledge.

Dream Process

We access information from our personal and collective unconscious through dreams. Jung believed that dreams compensate, or balance, what we are not able to process consciously. I work with my clients to explore dream images to help them find meaning and identify changes to be explored in depth therapy.

Shadow Work

We live in a time where our minds are so busy that we forget about our bodies and its connection to what is happening around us. Shadow work helps us to connect with our complexes and allies to release emotional charged imprints and find helpers to sustain the changes promoted in therapy.

Counseling & Psychotherapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness teaches us to make small changes daily to create new outcomes by having no attachments to results. I use this approach to treat anxiety where I teach strategies and tools to help patients reduce ruminating about the past and worrying about the future. I also facilitate guided meditation during sessions to take my clients to a deep state of relaxation which supports emotional regulation.

Trauma Therapy

I approach trauma work using mindfulness, shadow hypnotherapy and past-life regression therapy. Patients are guided to a deep state of relaxation to release emotional and energetically imprinted memories. The process of grieving traumatic memories through regression promotes healing and recovery.

LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy

I work with LGBTQ+ patients experiencing difficulties related to gender identity and sexual orientation. I use LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, aspects of depth psychotherapy such as dreams and creative imagination, and mindfulness. Together we address problems like addiction, depression, suicidality, anxiety, and PTSD experienced as a result of societal oppression, discrimination, and ignorance.

Menopause Archetypal Journey

Symptoms of perimenopause and menopause are experienced by 37.6% of the female world population every year. However, the patriarchal society ignores and mystifies these symptoms, minimizing them as not important or overly exacerbated by emotionally affected women. Thus, these experiences metaphorically become the elephant in the room. A journey through the awakening of archetypal potentials creates an opportunity to focus on the psychological approach of the menopause phase and to empower women to embark on an exciting journey of self-exploration.

Past-Life Regression

I offer past-life therapy, also known as regression therapy, which is a hypnotic technique used to help clients access memories to address problems and increase a sense of wellbeing. Regression therapy is the mental act of going back to an earlier time, whenever that time may be, in order to access traumatic memories that may still be negatively influencing a patient’s life or causing symptoms today.

Shadow Work through Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a state of focused concentration that many of us naturally experience every day. It is used in hypnotherapy which is a technique used by certified hypnotherapists to help clients overcome stress, anxiety, depression, phobias, traumas, and other problems of daily life. In hypnotherapy, the therapist is merely a guide; the patient determines the intention and goals, and they also control the process. Meet Subconcios Shadows is an technique developed by Dr. Cai Carvalhaes in which the clients are taken to meet their shadows, find their allies, and integrate them in the process of hypotherapy.

Consultation in Anomalous Phenomena or Spiritual Experiences

Anomalous or spiritual experiences are unusual experiences, considered different from habitual/everyday experiences and which elude explanations commonly accepted as reality (Cardeña, Lynn & Krippner, 2013). This work offers a safe space to talk about spiritual experiences that are not accepted or understood by society but still greatly influences peoples lives. Some examples of these experiences include past-life memories from children and adults, clairvoyance phenomena or dreams about the future, near-death experiences, after-death communications, and others.
